For many years it’s been possible to have units spray painted to any RAL colour to match interior and exterior finishes. At Advantage, we have managed this with the manufacturer’s on behalf of a number of our clients as part of their air conditioning installation project.
Equipment manufacturer, Daikin UK, has now gone one step further, offering a customised wrapping service. Outdoor units (as well as indoor) can be wrapped in vinyl allowing them to blend more seamlessly with their surroundings.
The process is straightforward. Once equipment has been specified and costs agreed with your chosen air conditioning contractor, all that’s needed is a good quality photo from which a proof can be generated.
On approval, the image is printed on to a high quality, laminated vinyl robust enough to prevent abrasions, provide chemical resistance and extend colour fastness. During the wrapping process each panel is carefully removed, primed and wrapped, and then replaced with washers to ensure the wrap integrity.
Along with the equipment order, Daikin manage all aspects of the wrapping service in house for strict quality control. The units are delivered with full protective packaging 2-3 weeks following approval of artwork. For complete peace of mind, the Daikin warranty also covers the wrap process.
Additionally, plastic grilles and outdoor unit brackets and associated pipe trunking can all be paint colour matched to suit.
