Following the Prime Minister’s statement on Monday 23rd March, we have put the following measures in place to minimise the risk of infection and spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
We must stress that we will always follow the instructions given to us by the Government and our number one priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our staff, customers and the wider community.
We remain open for business as usual, but with some caveats:
Project Managers & Office Administration
Please contact us by the usual methods. Our office number has been diverted and all our office staff are working effectively from home with full access to all of our systems.
For many, new enquiries, surveys and quotations can be managed remotely without the need for us to visit your premises. If you do have a potential project for installation or maintenance, we can advise you of the information we need in order to enable us to generate a quotation for you.
More complex enquiries (where attending site may be the only option) will be judged on a case by case basis and only if COVID-19 prevention measures can be safely deployed.
We can still plan and schedule in works to be carried out once the threat of COVID-19 has passed.
Our Engineers
Our field personnel are all aware of the symptoms and effects of COVID-19 and have been instructed to employ hand hygiene and social distancing rules. Anyone suspecting they have symptoms has been instructed to self-isolate at home for a minimum period of 14 days.
In addition, we have reduced the size of our field service teams so that our engineers remain segregated from each other to avoid risk and spread of infection.
Emergency breakdowns
Legislation permitting, we will continue to attend to key infrastructure and business critical systems whilst maintaining social distancing, hand hygiene measures and only when no one on site is presenting with COVID-19 symptoms.
We will take a view on residential breakdowns on a case by case basis, but we will not attend if there are vulnerable people in the household.
Maintenance & Installation Works
We may be able to carry out work on commercial premises such as empty offices/gyms etc. under some circumstances. This is subject to change and only with client agreement and with a suitable contact on site. Again, we will only do this if COVID-19 prevention measures in line with Government regulations can be deployed safely and in compliance with current Health & Safety Regulations.
We have made the decision to postpone all residential maintenance work currently. These works will be rescheduled for a later date. We will be in touch with you to rebook once restrictions have been lifted.
We will, at all times, follow any site-specific requirements imposed on us by our customers. Please let us know if you have any specific guidelines that you would like us to comply with.
The health, safety and well-being of our colleagues, customers, their families and our communities are our highest priority. We are constantly monitoring this fast-moving situation and will make immediate changes to our operations as and when required.
For further information please refer to our business continuity plan and we will, of course, keep you regularly updated.
We appreciate your loyalty in these unprecedented times.
Take the very best of care from all of us at Advantage.
