What We Did
New build homes are well insulated to comply with the latest building regulations, ideal for the winter months and to keep running costs to a minimum. Unfortunately, however, they are prone to overheating in the summer months. With rising summer temperatures predicted, this problem is sadly set to continue.
Having moved in fairly recently, our client was feeling the effects of an uncomfortably hot environment and was looking for an air conditioning solution to mitigate the issue and maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the warmer seasons.
Following a site survey and detailed cooling load calculations, Advantage specified a Mitsubishi Electric multi air conditioning system for the client’s home. The multi system provides the convenience and practicality of one outdoor unit linked to six indoor units serving 3 bedrooms, kitchen/diner, lounge and office. All indoor units come complete with pre-installed WIFI modules allowing control and monitoring via a smart device for total convenience 24/7.
In addition, the air conditioning equipment selected utilises the new R32 refrigerant. Choosing an R32 product, reduces the environmental impact compared to other refrigerants and leads directly to lower energy consumption thanks to its high energy efficiency.
The installation was completed in a week with minimal disruption to the customer and backed up by a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty and our own 1 year labour warranty.
