What We Did
A kitchen diner living space with impressive full height glazing to the rear created a beautifully light and modern space with stunning views, providing that much sought-after indoor/outdoor lifestyle. However, this south-facing room was prone to overheat due to our increasingly hot summers. Our client was looking for an affordable cooling solution to maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the warmer months.
Following a site survey and detailed cooling load calculations, Advantage specified a 6kW ‘LN’ wall mounted split air conditioning system by leading equipment manufacturer Mitsubishi Electric. Utilising the latest lower GWP R32 refrigerant, this system benefits from increased energy efficiencies and The Noise Abatement Society’s ‘Quiet Mark’. The system is also able to offer heating if required in the cooler months. A useful, responsive and energy efficient option for transitional times of year.
Contemporary in appearance and coming in range of four colours, the client chose ‘Natural White’ to blend in with existing décor. The wireless remote controller comes complete with a 7-day time clock, allowing it to be programmed to pre-heat or cool a space, along with temperature set point and fan speed. All of which can also be managed via a mobile app for total convenience.
The installation was completed over a couple of days with minimal disruption to the customer and backed up by a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty and our 1 year labour warranty.
The client was delighted with the end result and following future refurbishment works will be looking to install a second unit to their loft space.
